Project Introduction
The BYD Electronics Vietnam project is invested in by BYD Group (China) – one of the world’s leading corporations in EVs, electronics, and renewable energy. This is BYD’s first electronics factory in Vietnam, located at Lot CN-2A, Phu Ha Industrial Park, Ha Loc Commune, Phu Tho Town, Phu Tho Province.
The plant is built to manufacture electronic devices, tablets, EV components, and clean energy batteries. It plays a vital role in BYD’s global supply chain. Once operational, the plant is expected to create over 4,000 jobs, contributing to economic growth and high-tech industrial development in Northern Vietnam.

Materials Supplied by Bao Tin Steel

In May 2025, Bao Tin Steel completed the delivery to the BYD plant construction site on schedule. Beyond the large quantity, all products met the rigorous technical requirements of the investor and construction contractors, proving Bao Tin Steel’s supply capacity and product quality.
Meeting International Standards – Bao Tin Steel’s Commitment
The galvanized steel pipes supplied by Bao Tin Steel are specialized for harsh industrial environments, offering high corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.
All materials are manufactured according to BS 1387 and ASTM A53 standards – the most common standards for structural and industrial piping. Before leaving the factory, products undergo strict inspections for dimensions, thickness, pressure resistance, and galvanization quality to ensure 100% compliance with technical requirements.
Challenges Overcome
Participating in the BYD plant project, Bao Tin Steel faced several significant challenges:

Urgent Timeline: Large volumes of materials needed to be delivered in short phases to match the construction progress.

Strict Technical Requirements: Demands for international-standard certifications and input-quality inspections.

Logistics: The site location was far from the company’s main warehouse.
