What is a CT3 steel plate?
CT3 steel plate is a steel plate with the CT3 steel grade. It contains low carbon content (usually from 0.14 to 0.22%). CT is the symbol representing C content <0.25%. With high strength, this steel is produced by a hot rolling process, meeting Russian standard ГOCT 380-889.
The carbon content in the CT3 steel plate is similar to that in SS400, A36, and Q235 steel grades. In Vietnam, the CT3 steel plate is known as CTT34 and CTT38 and is manufactured according to TCVN 1651–1985 and TCVN 1651–2008 standards.
