Key Features of Giacomini Check Valve Φ34 (DN25)
When choosing Giacomini’s Φ34 check valve, users benefit from a range of outstanding advantages suitable for multiple systems:
Safe reverse flow prevention: Ensures fluid flows in only one direction, protecting pumps, tanks, and other equipment.
Various models available

- N5 (rubber seal): High sealing performance, smooth operation, low pressure loss – ideal for domestic water and heating systems.
- N6 (metal seat): Rugged design, high wear resistance – suitable for high-pressure, high-frequency operations.
- R60 (spring disc): Very low opening pressure (0.02 bar), quick response, installable in any orientation – ideal for systems requiring flexibility.
Premium materials:
Body made of CW617N brass, NBR seals, AISI 302 stainless steel spring (R60), ensuring long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
Excellent pressure and temperature resistance:
Stable operation under pressures up to 16–35 bar (depending on version) and temperatures from 5–95 °C (peak up to 110 °C).
Easy maintenance:
Design allows for quick inspection and cleaning of the disc and seals via removable covers (N5, N6) or detachable body (R60).

Typical Applications
Giacomini’s Φ34 (DN25) check valve is widely used across various sectors for effective reverse flow prevention:
- Domestic water systems: Prevent backflow contamination, keeping water clean and safe.
- HVAC and heating systems: Maintains stable fluid circulation, avoiding flow reversal that can cause temperature imbalance.
- Industrial and agricultural systems: Protects pressure vessels and pipelines in high-pressure or high-duty applications.
- Solar and boiler systems: Ensure unidirectional flow of heat-transfer fluid, improving efficiency and equipment lifespan.
Economic Benefits
Installing a Giacomini Φ34 (DN25) check valve not only enhances system safety but also provides significant economic advantages:
- Extended equipment lifespan: Prevents backflow, reducing vibration and water hammer, thus protecting pumps and tanks.
- Lower maintenance costs: Controlled flow minimises leakage and damage, cutting repair expenses.
- Optimised performance: N5 and N6 offer high Kv values for better flow; R60’s low opening pressure ensures responsive, energy-efficient operation.
- Flexible investment: Choose the model that best fits your needs—N5 for general use, N6 for heavy-duty environments, or R60 for premium flexibility and high pressure.
- High reliability: European-standard design and consistent quality ensure long-term safe operation.
Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
Installation
-
For N5 & N6 (swing type):
-
Follow the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body.
-
When mounted horizontally, the inspection cap must face upward; otherwise, the valve won’t function correctly.
-
For vertical installation, the flow must go from bottom to top.
-
-
For R60 (spring-loaded type):
-
It can be installed in any orientation (horizontal, vertical, or inclined) as long as the flow direction is correct.
-
Ideal for systems with limited space or complex layouts.
-
Maintenance
- Inspect periodically based on system conditions.
- N5 & N6: If leakage occurs, remove the inspection cap to clean the disc and seal. Use compressed air or mechanical cleaning to remove debris.
- R60: If leakage is found, remove the valve entirely for cleaning of the seal and spring. Always depressurise the system before disassembly for safety.
