What is Angle Bar?
An angle bar is a type of steel with a cross-sectional shape similar to the letter “V.”. It is classified into two main types: regular angle bars and hot-dip galvanized angle bars. Hot-dip galvanized steel is more corrosion-resistant to seawater and some acids than regular angle bar.

What is the load-bearing capacity of the angle bar?
Bearing capacity is an important characteristic of angle bar steel, affecting product quality and safety. The angle bar’s bearing capacity is measured in pulling force, in units of N/nm2 or kg/cm2. The tensile strength of an angle bar is measured by gradually increasing force until the steel breaks.
To measure the bearing capacity, the specimen is placed in a tensile machine to stretch, then split to break the specimen. The stretching process causes the test specimen to stretch or deform, and when a certain tension is reached, the steel will return to its original length.
If the tensile force causes the test specimen to permanently deform, the cross-sectional area of the bar will be reduced, and the bearing capacity of the test specimen will increase. Therefore, the ability to resist fracture under the effect of tensile force is an important characteristic of angle bar steel and all other types of metal materials.
