Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve DN65
The stainless steel butterfly valve DN65 is highly favoured thanks to its compact design, superior corrosion resistance, and ease of installation in tight spaces. With a moderate size, quick operation, and long service life, it is suitable for a wide range of working environments—from water treatment plants to commercial buildings.
Design & Appearance
The valve features a slim, compact profile, typical of wafer-type butterfly valves (clamped between two flanges). The valve body, disc, stem, and lever handle are all made of stainless steel, giving the product a uniform, professional appearance. The surface is often polished or satin-finished, ensuring a clean look and easy maintenance.
The round body comes with symmetrically arranged bolt holes, reflecting balanced engineering. Basic specifications such as material grade (e.g., “CF8” for stainless steel 304, “CF8M” for stainless steel 316), size (DN65), and pressure rating are typically embossed on the lower body.
The disc is flat and circular, fitting neatly within the valve seat. It has a smooth, polished surface that matches the body. The stainless steel stem runs through the disc, extending upward to connect with the operating mechanism.
The lever handle is equipped with a spring latch and a notched locking plate, allowing secure positioning. To adjust the valve, the operator presses the latch, rotates the handle to the desired position (open, closed, or throttling), and releases it to lock the disc in place. Besides lever operation, the DN65 stainless steel butterfly valve can also be operated by a handwheel, electric actuator, or pneumatic actuator.

Key Advantages
Compared to cast iron or carbon steel valves of the same size, the stainless steel butterfly valve DN65 offers superior durability, flexibility, and corrosion resistance:
- Excellent resistance to rust, reliable performance in clean water, hot water, light chemicals, and even seawater (when using stainless steel 316).
- High mechanical strength with no coating to peel off—minimising maintenance and replacement costs.
- Wafer-type design ensures quick installation with minimal space required.
- Multiple operating options: lever (most common), or upgraded to electric or pneumatic actuation for automation needs.
Applications
Thanks to its lightweight design, corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand both temperature and pressure, the stainless steel butterfly valve DN65 is widely applied in residential, commercial, and industrial systems:
- Domestic water supply, hot water, and treated water in buildings, complexes, or factories.
- Bottled water, dairy, beer, and beverage production lines—especially with PTFE or EPDM seats that meet food safety standards.
- Branch pipelines for chilled water or hot water circulation in HVAC systems.
- Light chemical industries.
- Firefighting and industrial water systems.
